The Environment Environmental stewardship of Bandelier Trading Co. is a welcome responsibility. We have obtained ISO 14001 certification, an international standard, for our environmental management systems. We are the first orgainzation in New Mexico to be named a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, for our efforts to enhance wildlife habitat, achieve sensitive maintenance practices, and inform people of our commitment to environmental quality. |
Our restaurant is a Certified Green Restaurant for energy and water conservation, recycling, and environmental purchasing. We have been selected for membership in the EPA's National Environmental Performance Track program and recognized by New Mexico governor Bill Richardson and the New Mexico Environmental Department for Best Management Practices and Pollution Efforts for our efforts to recycle, reuse, and reduce our wastes. |
